2022-2023 P.N.A. MONDAY NIGHT MIXED LEAGUE RULES
1. Bowlers can be male or female and MUST be a minimum of 18 years of age.
2. The cost of bowling is $20.00 per week for the first 28 weeks, the last 5 weeks will be “FREE”. Bowling is guaranteed which means if you are unable to make it to bowling and do not have a bowl out you will be required to pay all money owed the following week.
3. The league Team Handicap is 90% of the difference between the teams average and 675. The Individual Handicap (for individual league prizes) is 90% of the difference between the bowlers average and 210.
4. Bowlers will use their previous seasons PNA League average, New bowlers will use their highest previous 2 seasons USBC Average (21 or more games). These averages will be frozen for the first 9 games bowled.
5. When a new bowler joins the league, and does not have an established USBC average of a minimum 21 Games, they must bowl their first night for average. The team handicap will need to be recalculated at the end of the night based on the new bowler’s average. The bowler’s new average will not be frozen.
6. All new bowlers will pay for their Certification which will be refunded at the end of the season provided the bowler does not quit. Certifications need to be paid by the third week of bowling.
7. New bowlers shall be charged $10.00 for the get together
8. When a team cannot be compete with four people a blind average of 125 shall be used for women and 150 for men.
9. Any bowler unable to attend bowling Monday night should contact a League officer or their Team Captain.
10. Substitute bowlers (Subs) are permitted for regular bowling nights. Subs are permitted to bowl in the Position Rounds and Roll-Off ONLY if you are injured and cannot physically bowl.
11. Emergency bowl-outs are permitted. Bowl-outs must be dated the week they are bowled. If they are not dated the bowl-out is null and void. All emergency bowl outs must be used before the 3rd frame of the first game. Bowl-outs cannot be used at the bowler’s convenience if you are absent the bowl out will be used.
NO “Emergency” Bowl-outs for Position Round or the Roll-Off,
Those Bowl-outs MUST be dated for that specific night.
12. Any person missing bowling and does not have a bowl out shall have ten (10) pins taken off their average.
13. Three (3) unexcused absences will result in a bowler being put on the extra list permanently. An unexcused absence will be defined as not notifying a League officer and/or captain.
14. If a bowler is ill and going to be out more than 2 weeks an extra bowler will be put in their place (if possible) beginning the first week of the absence, they will remain there until the regular member returns.
15. Any bowler returning to the league from any type of absence shall spend one week on the extra list before being placed on their team, unless the League Secretary is notified ahead of time.
16. In case of death, only league members and their spouses get a mass or floral bouquet $50.00.
17. Only one prize shall be given to an individual for either high game or series. When an individual qualifies for a prize, either trophies or prizes will be awarded. This is to be at the discretion of the Executive board. Bowl-outs are exempt from prizes for high game and series. Bowlers must bowl a minimum of 66 games to be eligible for prizes. All dues must be paid in full to be eligible for prize money.
18. There will be a Position Round at the end of each quarter 1st place will bowl 2nd and the rest of the roster to follow. All quarter winners will use the average of the section the win OR their end of season average, whichever is higher. There will be six teams in the Roll-Off at the end of the season, four based on quarters and one each based on total wins for each half not already in the Roll-Off. If there is a tie at the end of either quarter or half a one game roll off will be bowled to determine the winner. All six teams will bowl on lanes determined by pill draw. High 3 Game Series with Handicap determines the League Champion.
19. A bowler in the Roll-Off may bowl out if there are at least two officers present and a pacer team of four bowlers to bowl with them. See rule 9.
20. There will be no refund for bowlers unable to attend banquets unless they notify an officer three weeks ahead of time or there is a death in the family. Refund will equal the charge of non-bowler or guest ($20.00).
21. There will be three women and three men directors. Officers and Directors are elected to a two-year term. Neither director nor officer of the league should be a captain of any team. A nomination form will be sent out during bowling prior to elections, if you wish to run for an office it is your responsibility to be sure that name is on the list.
22. All bowlers having a sponsor shirt MUST wear their current year bowling shirt every Monday during league competition so that the sponsors name is visible, or pay a $2.00 fine, which is paid that night. All new bowlers shall pay a $10.00 shirt deposit which is refunded at the end of the season as long as the bowler does not quit. Shirt deposit needs to be paid by the third week of bowling.
23. A tardy bowler shall be permitted to begin bowling from the first frame with the score to count, provided the match has not progressed past the third frame.
24. Any team unable to produce two bowlers on any Monday Night will automatically forfeit all four points. Bowl outs and Vacants are counted as being present. If no Legal Lineup the opposing team MUST bowl within 40 pins of their team average to win points (per USBC).
25. When each quarter has ended all bowlers must have their dues paid before they can start another quarter. Failure to do shall cause removal from their team.
26. There shall be a financial report on the bowling sheet quarterly. This report must be verified and signed by the President, Treasurer and directors.
27. The league Secretary and Treasurer will each be paid $25.00 per team. Officers and directors will be paid $25.00 each.
